Capital Markets Authority in Kuwait through a decree (no. 67 of 2014) has recently come out with rules pertaining to issuance of preference shares. The rules which are set to be effective from April 1, 2015 allows for both private and public joint stock companies to issue preference shares upon making required provisions in the company memorandum for such issuance.
