GCC equity markets gained in the month, with the S&P GCC Composite Index increasing by 1.5%.
Kuwait’s All Share Index gained 2.7%, with Energy sector index increasing 11.0% during the month.
Global markets were positive in October, propelled by rate cuts by the U.S Fed. The MSCI World and S&P 500 indices rose by 1.9% and 2.3% for the month, respectively.
Oil prices fell by 2.9% during the month amid elevated concerns of oversupply. These concerns were slightly offset by US sanctions on Russian oil companies Lukoi and Rosneft.
