Executive Summary

Over the past decade, Qatar has witnessed rapid economic development and demographic changes. High economic growth of the region resulted in influx of expatriates, which in turn increased the total population of Qatar. High population growth coupled with highest per capita income fuelled the demand for Qatar residential real estate over the past decade. Even though the onset of global financial crisis in 2008 led to the decline in the real estate activity in the Qatar, Qatar residential real estate markets rebounded to stable state due to efforts of governments after 2013.
